Arthritis is a general term used to describe a large grouping of health conditions, all of which manifest symptoms of pain and stiffness. Commonly diagnosed forms of arthritis include osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis (autoimmune involvement), gout, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, fibromyalgia  (rheumatism) and   infectious arthritis (such as Lyme’s Disease).

Arthritis is the inflammation of one or more joints. It means that the joint is painful, and there is swelling, stiffness, redness, possible deformity and/or a lack of ability to have the full use of the affected joint. Numerous forms of arthritis exist, but the most common two are rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. These conditions can effect the body's movable joints in the knees, wrists, elbows, fingers, toes, hips, and shoulders as well as the bones of the spine on the neck and back.

Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic inflammatory illness. It is an autoimmune disease in which the immune system attacks normal tissue components as if they were invading pathogens. This illness affects about one percent of the world's population. Rheumatoid arthritis causes inflammation in the lining of the joints and/or other internal organs. This inflammation separates rheumatoid arthritis from other more common forms of arthritis, such as osteoarthritis. It is a chronic disease, affecting many joints throughout the body, and resulting in damage to cartilage, bone, tendons and ligaments. The joints become stiff and painful make popping, clinking and banging noises.

One important way to distinguish rheumatoid arthritis from other forms of arthritis is by the pattern of joint involvement. For example, rheumatoid arthritis affects the wrist and many of the hand joints but usually not the joints that are closest to the fingernails.

Osteoarthritis,   in contrast , affects those joints closest to the fingernails more often than other areas of the hand. In rheumatoid arthritis, the joints tend to be involved in a symmetrical pattern. That is, if the knuckles on the right hand are inflamed, the knuckles on the left hand are likely to be inflamed as well.

Other joints commonly affected by rheumatoid arthritis include the elbows, shoulders, neck, jaw, feet, ankles, knees, and hips. Other than the neck, the spine usually is not directly affected by rheumatoid arthritis.

Three years ago I found out I had osteoarthritis of both knees.   The condition was very painful.  I had difficulties  in walking long distances.  Being always active in sports, I had to discontinue my regular work out in brisk walking and swimming. Several months ago I came across your arthritis treatment, and have been on it for 8 months, I am amazed at the results.  I do not have any more pain in my knees and I have returned to my daily sports regimen.  I am now able to run without pain. This arthritis treatment has made such a difference in the functioning of my knees and elimination of pain.   Thanks for a really wonderful product!
